Antique cased Joseph Manton Tubelock pistol with shoulder stock
A very rare cased Joseph Manton tubelock pistol with shoulder stock, with 36 bore belted ball 9in twist barrel, with maker's platinum stamp at the breech for 'Joseph Manton, London'.
Complete with accessories in mahogany case with maker's label.
Originally made as a flintlock in 1816, converted to tubelock by the maker in 1830.
Complete with belted ball mould.
Maker's label for 11, Hanover Square, London.
The stock has a few abraisons but overall much original finish.
The shoulder stock fits into the butt of the pistol with a bayonet fitting.
In the case there is a round wooden box for taking the tubes, also a tool for cleaning the vent hole and a red leather three-way flask.
