Mail Coach Blunderbuss
Brass barrelled flintlock mail coach blunderbuss circa 1800 by H W Mortimer with flared-at-the-muzzle barrel No:93 with 34.2cm barrel.
Harvey Walklate Mortimer (1753-1819) was appointed Gunmaker to King George III in 1783, he was a contractor to the East India Company from 1796 to 1806. He retired in 1811.
The stock is in good order and the lock has a natural patina and is fully working.
