A British 6 pounder bronze field gun dated 1814 of the pattern of 1752, with reproduction oak carriage, circa 1960.

 

The gun was made by Cornelius King at the Royal Brass Foundry, Woolwich.

 

It bears the royal monogram of George III and the cipher of Henry Phipps, 1st Earl of Mulgrave, who was the Master General of Ordnance from 1810 to 1819 and was succeeded  by the Duke of Wellington.
