Cased pair of Flintlock John Manton Duelling Pistols
A fine cased pair of 34 bore flintlock duelling pistols by John Manton with very rare square-back trigger guards. Gold inlaid ‘Manton, London’ on flats of the barrels, the locks signed ‘Manton’, hexagonal barrels with original ramrods and gold lined vents, silver escutcheons to rear of the tangs. They are numbered 4466 for 1805. Overall length: 15in. In very good overall condition with one slight crack forward of the lock plate. The case is lined, with accessories including a red leather covered three-way flask.
